In a recent news we shared with you, we mentioned that Insomniac Games, the team behind Spider-Man games, was hacked. In this attack carried out by the Rhysida hacker group, exactly 1.67 terabytes of data was stolen. Now, after this leak, screenshots from the PC version of Spider-Man 2 have emerged.
To be completed by March 2024
Rhysida, who demanded a $2 million ransom from Insomniac as a result of a cyber-attack for the kidnappers, leaked a lot of data online when their demands were not granted. These included footage from the upcoming Wolverine game, employee data and the studio’s future roadmap, including upcoming Insomniac games. Now, a new one has been added to this information.
Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 will be ready for PC by March 2024 at a cost of $4.6 million (twice the cost of the first game). Considering Sony’s current tradition, it will probably meet PC users in 2025.
Insomniac Games also finally broke its silence nearly a week after the hack. Addressing important issues related to the leak, including the Wolverine game, the studio thanked gamers for their support and emphasized its commitment to the games.
