Quake, one of the oldest series in the gaming world, may be coming back with a new production. The action game, which first debuted in 1996, last appeared in 2017 with Quake Champions. At the Xbox event, some claims about the game emerged.
First claims for Quake 6
The classic first-person shooter series Quake may get a remake after all these years. During the recent Xbox and Bethesda Games Showcase Developer Direct broadcast, some interesting footage was captured. A secret teaser for the next game in the long-silent series was discovered.
Developer MachineGames introduced its new game Indiana Jones and The Great Circle at the event. The drawings in the office of the developer team talking about the game did not go unnoticed. In the upper left corner of a board in the office, “AKE 6” was seen next to the iconic Quake logo.
While it’s likely a coincidence, the positioning of the familiar logo has led many to speculate that it could be a message for Quake 6. It has been claimed that MachineGames, who previously worked on the development of the series, may return to Quake after many years.
Last year, the Quake 2 remake was announced. This fueled rumors of a return of the series. Given Bethesda’s success with the Doom games, a new Quake game seems like a logical move.
Neither Bethesda nor MachineGames have commented on the teaser. However, we think that the series, which has been going on for more than 20 years, may be revived in the coming period.
